Please read the following information carefully to ensure your advertising is compliant. Prior to advertising finance you must in any event first email us, setting out the nature of the proposed advertising requested, in order to obtain our written permission. You are not authorised to sell on finance, but you are permitted to introduce customers to TradeHelp if they wish to consider payment via a personal loan.
As a TradeHelp Introducer Appointed Representative (IAR) you can advertise the availability of finance, but you are not allowed to make any “real time financial promotions”. Real time promotions are when you set out for customers any detail of how they could pay for their specific quote on finance or when you have any interactive discussion with the customer about finance – you must leave that detail for TradeHelp to explain.
All you are allowed to do is explain that finance is available (through an introduction to TradeHelp) and use generic examples – which would be the same for any customer – of the finance available. This should be done by following the approved TradeHelp IAR app process in which you were trained.
You should have a privacy and complaints policy on your website, and must also display the status disclosure somewhere on your website if you are mentioning the availability of finance. The status disclosure is included below in italics.
So long as you abide by these rules and ensure that customers are clear as to what you can offer and are never misled, you are able to advertise that finance is available through your company.

You may advertise by using the statements: “Finance available” or “Installations on finance”. This must always be accompanied by the status disclosure as follows:

You may also wish to include statements such as “Flexible payment”, “No deposit required” or “Spread the cost”. These are incentives to the customer to enter into finance and their use requires that the representative APR be displayed more prominently than the incentive.
Over and above this, if you promote your finance as comparatively better than credit options available elsewhere, mention the monthly payment, or an amount relating to the cost of credit, or the representative APR within the body of your advert, then this will trigger the requirement to include a full representative example in your advert.

The key points to include in any advertising are that the finance is interest free and that any loan amount would be payable by the customer in 12 or 24 equal monthly instalments.
